Editorial Policy

How we research, write, check and update the calculators and articles on DueNest.

Last updated: October 2, 2026

Our sources

We base our calculators and articles on guidance from recognised medical organisations, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the World Health Organization (WHO), the UK National Health Service (NHS) and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and on peer-reviewed research. Every page lists the sources it relies on.

How content is created

  1. An editor researches the topic using the sources above and writes the page.
  2. Formulas are tested against worked examples before publishing.
  3. A second check compares the page against the original sources.
  4. The page is published with its sources and last updated date.

We may use software tools to help with drafting and checking. A person always edits the final text and checks it against the sources. Our content is not reviewed by a doctor, which is why every page links to the guidance it relies on.

Keeping content up to date

We review every page at least once a year, and update it sooner if medical guidance changes. The last updated date is shown on each page.

Corrections

If you find a mistake, please tell us through our contact page. We check every report and correct errors as quickly as we can.

Advertising and independence

DueNest may show advertising and may earn a commission from some product links. Advertisers and partners have no influence over our calculators or medical content, and we never place ads between a calculator and its result.
