This is the last week of the first trimester. The vocal cords are forming, the intestines move from the umbilical cord into the tummy, and the baby keeps growing quickly.

Energy often returns and nausea fades for many people. A small bump may start to show, especially if this is not your first pregnancy.

Your checklist this week

  • Look at comfortable clothing or a bra with more support.
  • Keep up gentle exercise, such as walking, swimming or pregnancy yoga.
  • Ask any questions about your screening results.

  • A bad headache, blurred vision or sudden swelling
  • Fluid leaking from your vagina
  • Fever, or pain when you pass urine
  • Later in pregnancy, your baby moving less than usual
