The baby may drop lower into your pelvis, ready for birth. Most of the lanugo hair and vernix is shedding.

Appointments often become weekly from around now. You may feel pressure low in your pelvis.

Your checklist this week

  • ACOG recommends a group B strep swab between 36 and 37 weeks and 6 days.
  • If the baby is breech, ask about turning the baby (external cephalic version).
  • Make sure your birth plan is shared with your care team.

  • Fluid leaking from your vagina
  • Fever, or pain when you pass urine
  • Later in pregnancy, your baby moving less than usual
