Welcome to the second trimester. The baby can squint, frown and make other facial expressions, and fine hair called lanugo begins to grow on the skin.

Many people find the second trimester the most comfortable. Your appetite may increase and your bump will start to grow more noticeably.

  • Eat well rather than for two: extra calories are not usually needed until later in pregnancy.
