Your baby at 2 weeks

An egg is maturing in one of your ovaries. In a 28-day cycle, ovulation usually happens around the end of week 2. Once released, the egg lives for about 12 to 24 hours, while sperm can survive for up to 5 days.

Your body at 2 weeks

As ovulation gets closer, cervical mucus often becomes clear, slippery and stretchy, like raw egg white. Some people notice a mild ache on one side of the lower tummy when they ovulate.
